Hi! Welcome to my crazy cool, amazingly fun and super extreme lifestyle. I’m a school leader (AKA Assistant Principal), mom of two and wife to my best friend (literally!). I have a long history of being spontaneous and always up for an adventure, but before I get to that let me tell you what adventure I’m currently living.
In July of 2021, my family and I sold our house, everything inside, bought an RV and left our hometown in Atlanta to travel full-time across America and live an RV lifestyle! This was as crazy as it sounds, yet we made so many memories and it changed our lives forever.
Along the way, we found ourselves in Arizona where we fell in love with the desert and the 365 days of sunshine. But more than that, my daughter who has lived her life with an eczema and allergy battle all of the sudden became healed. We couldn’t believe this could actually be happening. How could the desert be the medicine we had been looking for, for the past eight years? It absolutely was!
Through a lot of soul searching (and job searching) we decided that we would move our family to Phoenix, Arizona and start a new life where my daughter could live free of the eczema that had haunted her all of her life. As a mother, there was no second guessing this decision. If this is what my little girl needed…this is what we would do.
So everything we left in a 10 x 10 storage unit in Cumming, Georgia was thrown into a U-Haul and off we set across I-10 to embark on a new, unknown life!
We are six months in to this creation of an Arizona lifestyle and we have found ourselves surrounded by incredible people, amazing views and outdoor adventures for days. I am an Assistant Principal at the same elementary school my girls attend and my husband started to lay the groundwork for his own business.
Life is never what we would have expected when we left in an RV over a year ago, but who would have thought we would’ve even lived in an RV before that. Living the unexpected is what I thrive in. It’s where I find inspiration, fun and a lot of laughter. This is the place where I write from…
Being a leader requires you to live in the unexpected, but being an informed and empowered leader allows you to live a lead style journey!
So what do I bring to the table? I am the “whole package.” I am the “whole package” of failures, flaws, heart-break and embarrassing moments. But wait…the best part of my “package” is my daily fight for my best life, a lot of belly laughing, and living in confidence and grace.
So to package my take on life, I believe that: 1) Jesus and family come first, 2) decisions for today make up results for tomorrow, 3) hard work always pays off, 4) live in the present, and 5) have fun everyday!
